Introduction

William Fitzgerald is a postdoctoral researcher at the Cork Constraint Computation Centre (4C) where he carries out research (directed by Dr. Simon Foley) on network security configuration modelling and threat management. William holds a PhD in Computer Science from University College Cork. He has co-authored, amongst other publications, over ten international peer-reviewed papers in the area of cyber security and ontology engineering. On a professional capacity, William has acted as a reviewer for a number of computer security journals and conferences and have also served as a scientific reviewer for the Dutch Technology Foundation. Prior to his current position he held research posts at Waterford Institute of Technology's TSSG and at Ericsson Applied Research Laboratories, Ireland. William also holds the following degrees M.Sc. (Research Mode 1) and B.Sc. (honours) both from N.U.I. Maynooth.
